Beth Kotran

I believe that the students of the NHV High School District need a school community that supports and reflects the times in which we are living.  We need to have facilities, a curriculum and technologies that factor in the changes we are seeing in the world -- Artificial Intelligence, the heavy reliance on social media and the Internet for communication and the complexities of applying to colleges or entering the workforce after graduation. No matter the choice made by our students, the Board, Superintendent, Administration and educators have the responsibility to prepare our students for post-graduation.

As a Board of Education Member over the past three years, I’ve valued every conversation with constituents. I’ve listened carefully, and I believe my actions at Board meetings reflect that commitment. I’m proud of what I accomplished during my initial term and believe I fulfilled the goals of my 2022–2025 campaign platform: Supporting Our Kids.

As I seek re-election, my 2026–2029 platform—Voice of Reason—represents a renewed and evolved focus.
